Hawthorn Language School is one of the top English language schools in Singapore. At Hawthorn you will have the chance to develop your English skills and take a step towards meeting your goals. Hawthorn provides a full range of general and specialised English programmes for students. Beginning with the Pre-Elementary course, students can progress through the Elementary, Pre- Intermediate and Intermediate levels. In addition to this, we also offer courses in English for Academic Purposes and a preparatory class for the IELTS examination.

In addition to improving your English, you also have the opportunity to meet with people from around the world. Our students come from China, Vietnam, Indonesia, Myanmar, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Russia and other countries throughout Asia. Our teachers are from the United Kingdom, New Zealand, the USA, Malaysia, and Singapore. With such a diverse mixture of people, you have the opportunity to broaden your understanding of the world and to make friends and connections with people from many different cultures.

Our courses are full time – Monday through Friday. In addition to classroom lessons, you will also spend some time each week in the Independent Learning Centre (ILC) and in the computer lab (CALL). Classes will take part in educational excursions around Singapore to ensure that students have adequate opportunities to use their skills in real world situations. After school we have several programmes available for you as well, including time to work with a teacher one-on-one or attend supplementary lessons on subjects ranging from grammar to drama techniques, and we invite you to participate in them fully to get the most out of your experience.

The Bishan National Library and Bishan Sports & Recreation Centre are also situated nearby.
