Hawthorn Language School offers the following English classes:

 

There is a place for you at Hawthorn Language School no matter your level of English – from beginner to Advanced, we can help you improve. You will be placed in a class that is suitable for your level with caring teachers that want you to succeed. We are equipped to teach a wide range of students. Consider this:

  • Our classes always have fewer than 20 students.
  • We make sure that you are placed in the English level that is right for you.
  • Each class level has specific course goals and objectives that teachers and students work on together.
  • You will be continually assessed in the four primary language skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. You will also receive training in pronunciation, vocabulary, conversational skills and grammar.
  • Teachers use a variety of material and activities in class. including games, worksheets, role plays, singing, surveys and other activities to make English as “real” as possible.
  • Students and teachers regularly go on excursions throughout Singapore.
  • We offer remedial workshops for students who need extra help with their writing and speaking .
  • Our teachers are the best. Really. Besides having superb English skills, they are all caring, dedicated people who love to teach and want you to succeed.
  • You will regularly use our computer lab to help you learn English. The computer lab has internet access as well as an internationally recognized software programme – Clarity Tense Busters.
  • We have an Independent Learning Centre, stocked with newspapers, reading material, computers and audiovisual equipment.
  • We have a group of support professionals who are here to help you throughout your stay in Singapore.
  • We rigorously prepare you for the challenges of higher education.
